Supply Chain Associate

About the Position

The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for providing an enhanced level of customer service and operational support for the movement of any cell and gene shipment through our network. This will include booking shipments, working with working with vendors and customers to facilitate shipments, and tracking all shipments to ensure on time and accurate delivery. This role reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and is a cornerstone to ensuring the success of Cabaletta Bio’s clinical trials.

This role is in Center City, Philadelphia. We are a hybrid work environment, and the expectation is that this role will be in the office 1-2 days per week, with the remainder of the week remote.

Responsibilities Include

  • The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for providing an enhanced level of customer service and operational support for movement of any cell and gene shipment, including booking shipments, working with couriers and shippers/receivers to coordinate delivery dates and times.
  • Responsible for successfully supporting the daily operations as it relates to cell and gene shipments.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with internal departments – Clinical Operations, Supply Chain, Translational and MS&T groups.
  • Book shipments with vendors and couriers according to previously agreed upon dates with customers.
  • Review and revise Standard Operating Procedures, forms and work instructions associated with cell and gene shipments.
  • Ensure all related shipping documentation is accurate, complete, and retained according to local SOPs.
  • Monitor GPS and temperature tracking on all shipments.
  • Updating shipment spreadsheets and tracking On-Time and Accurate shipments.
  • Training sites and vendors on proper shipping methods.
  • Receiving and approving shipment invoices.
  • Additional responsibilities including, but not limited to, inventory management, and meeting participation.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or applicable work experience as a substitute for education
  • General logistics import/export knowledge, preferably in the Pharma/Clinical Trials industry
  • Strong knowledge of PC and Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability, thorough knowledge, to adapt/deal with inquiries & day to day issues.
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service; experience dealing with people and speaking to clients.
  • Eye for detail; organized/skilled in tracking; a problem solver.
  • Ability to multi-task and think on one’s feet.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
  • Strong team orientation and passion for continuous self-development.
  • Experience in the biotech industry or in a startup industrial setting is preferred.
